Rates & Fees
For the convenience of our customers, the South Davis Sewer District has many options to pay the semi-annual billing in January and July.
Credit / Debit Card Payment: A system has been set up that allows residents to pay their sewer bill online with a credit or debit card. There is a service fee to use this payment option.
ACH Autopay: This option automatically withdraws, around Jan 31st and July 31st, the semi-annual payment from the customer's checking or savings account.
Watch for this reminder: >>>AUTO PAY ACTIVE - DO NOT PAY<<< when you get your bill.
Bank Bill Pay: Most banks offer this service. The bank will send the payment to the District. If this option is utilized, be sure to include the -00 or 00 on the end of your District account number so your account can be found electronically. The District account number stays with the property and is not transferred if a customer moves to a different location within the District. If a customer moves the District account number will need to be changed.
Pay By Check: Make checks payable to the South Davis Sewer District.
You can mail your payment to P.O. 140111, Salt Lake City, UT 84114-0111.
You can also take your payment to either Dick’s Market (Centerville or Bountiful) at the Customer Service Center.
Pay Monthly: Your sewer bill covers 6 months of service and is not due until the end of those 6 months. We save you money by only billing twice a year. You are welcome to break it down and pay a smaller monthly amount to better fit your budget.

Schedule of Charges and FeesRate Increases
The South Davis Sewer District owns, operates and maintains two wastewater treatment plants along with a system of underground piping called a collection system that consists of approximately 380 miles of pipe and almost 9,000 manholes. It is critical that the District’s facilities and treatment processes are adequately maintained and keep pace with new regulatory requirements, emerging contaminants of concern and a growing population.
Current rate increases are being driven by new nutrient limits mandated by the Utah Division of Water Quality (DWQ) for nitrogen and phosphorus. These limits require the District to construct new treatment technologies to achieve adequate nutrient removal not possible using its current wastewater treatment processes. These new technologies will also address more stringent ammonia limits imposed on the District by DWQ. Information on nutrient pollution and DWQ’s nutrient reduction plan can be found at https://deq.utah.gov/water-quality/nutrients
The District is committed to providing the best service to District residents for the least possible cost and adjusts rates only as needed to match the cost of service resulting from required expansion and rehabilitation.
